We are excited to be recruiting a full-time Dental Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team at Blairgowrie Dental Care. We are also accepting trainee applications.
The hours of work are Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm, Friday: 8.30am - 4.30pm and there be 1 late night, either a Monday or Tuesday up to 6.45pm.
Blairgowrie Dental Care has served the local community since 1985 in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our practice is conveniently located in the heart of Blairgowrie town, there is ample parking in the car park on Croft Lane and the bus stop is within walking distance.
Using the latest technology and techniques our enthusiastic team can offer a friendly and professional service tailored to your needs, providing a comprehensive range of treatments such as tooth whitening, dental implants (including CHROME GuidedSMILE), clear aligners, composite bonding, crowns, bridges and facial aesthetics.
Your Role
You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries and undertaking reception cover. You will play an important role in ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance. There may also be an opportunity to be involved in implant nursing.
Other duties include –
- Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
- Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
- Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
- Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
- Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Undertaking reception duties including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
About You
- Must be GDC registered if you are a qualified Dental Nurse
- Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
